This delicious dessert is one of our favorites to make over holiday break because it’s so pretty and tastes like Dunkaroo dips (remember those?! YUM!)! With just a few simple ingredients and minutes, you can create this Grinch cookie dip!
We are obsessed with this green Grinch Dip for our How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss movie night!! You’ll just use food coloring for the green-tint and red sprinkles to create the heart. (You could also mix in heart sprinkles throughout if you wanted!)
The dip not only looks gorgeous, it’s also sweet, fluffy, and a real crowd-pleaser!! If you’re looking for a last-minute holiday recipe, this is definitely a winner in our book!
Grinch Cookie Dip Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 bag sugar cookie mix
- 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream, approximately
- 1 drop green food gel
- Sprinkles for heart
How to Make the Grinch Dip
In a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, add in softened cream cheese. Whip it with the stand mixer or hand mixer on medium speed until smooth.
Add in your sugar cookie mix and whip the mix together on medium speed.
Once it’s combined, add in your heavy whipping cream slowly. Mix it together until thick. (If it is dry, add more heavy cream slowly until it’s think but moist).
Add in your green food coloring and whip well.
Place the cookie dip mixture into a serving bowl. Top with red sprinkles in the shape of a heart or mix in Christmas sprinkles throughout the dip.
Serve with graham crackers or ginger snaps.
How do I soften the cream cheese?
The best way to soften your cream cheese is to let it sit at room temperature an hour before you make your Grinch dip. You can also microwave it for about 10 seconds if you forget or are in a hurry.
Could I make this dip year-round?
Absolutely, this sugar cookie dip is one of our favorites for any occasion! You could do any color food color and sprinkles you wanted! For example, it would be great at a gender reveal in pink or blue or Halloween party with orange food color and bat sprinkles!

How long is this Grinch Dip good for?
If the dip is left out for a party, it should be eaten or refrigerated after 2-4 hours. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
