Pulled Pork Casserole Ingredients
If you’re like us, you are a huge fan of simple ingredients and short prep times! This casserole dish delivers on both!
You’ll need:
- 2 pounds of pulled pork
- 1 Tbsp BBQ seasoning
- 1 32-ounce bag frozen tater tots
- 1 28-ounce can baked beans
- 2 cups shredded Monterrey jack cheese
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- Salt
- Green onion (optional)
How to Make This Tater Tot & Pulled Pork Casserole Recipe
- You can use your favorite barbecue recipe, leftovers, or make your own pulled pork mixture in a slow cooker. We like to cook a pork shoulder in the crockpot for 8 hours on low (or 4 hours on high). Then shred pork using 2 forks.
- When your pork is about ready, cook the tots according to the bag’s directions, and cook until golden and crispy.
- Now it’s time to assemble your pulled pork casserole! Top the tots with the pulled pork mixture, beans, cheese, and any other toppings. Then return the pan to the oven to let the cheese melt for about 10 minutes.
- Before serving, top with BBQ sauce and green onions.
