Our No Bake White Chocolate Peppermint Rice Krispie Treats are quick and easy to make! We love the combination of peppermint, white chocolate, and marshmallow! They’re also ready in about 10 minutes and most of the ingredients you probably have on hand!
We love to make hot chocolate (or do a hot chocolate charcuterie board) with these delicious treats!! That’s all you need for an epic Christmas movie night!
These are especially good when you’re doing a Polar Express movie night!
What You’ll Need:
- 5 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal
- 10 oz Bag of Marshmallows
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Cup White Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cup Crushed Candy Canes
- Sprinkles (Optional)
Note: You could also use a white chocolate peppermint chips if you can find them or crush up a white chocolate peppermint bar. If you do this, you’ll want about 1.5 cups but can leave out the candy canes and white chocolate chips!
I made these on a whim, and I just had candy canes! So I put them in the food processor and pulsed a few seconds to get some chunky pieces to mix in. Then, I crushed any large pieces by placing them in a ziplock and hitting them with a wooden spoon. You just want them chopped up pretty finely — however you want to do it!
How to Make No Bake White Chocolate Peppermint Rice Krispie Treats
These are so easy to make, and you can even use the microwave if you need to! We cooked ours on the stove though.
- Lightly spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick spray.
- In a large saucepan, melt your butter on low heat. Then, add in your marshmallows until they’re completely melted.
- Remove it from heat and add in your cereal and candy canes. Stir until mixed well. (This is because the candy canes are hard and the heat helps melt them!)
- Then, add in your white chocolate chips (or peppermint chocolate chips) and mix again.
- Using a spatula, pour the mixture into a 9×13 pan and press down evenly. Cut into squares.
If you’re using a microwave, you can heat the butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 2 minutes, stirring after 90 seconds. Stir until smooth. Repeat until the marshmallow is completely melted then add in your candy and toppings. Microwave cooking times may vary.
